Join us for a fun-filled adventure from the Riverton Branch of the Portland Public Library to the Riverton Rail Trail! This free family-friendly walk is perfect for kids and families who are not familiar with trails and are curious to explore and learn more.
Starting from the Riverton Branch, Portland Trails will talk about what to expect and then lead a scenic walk to the Riverton Rail Trail. Along the way, a friendly librarian will be reading an engaging story out loud, bringing the trail to life!
This event is specifically geared towards new trail users and will be held in English, French, Lingala, Portuguese, and Arabic. It is free and open to all ages, but is best for families with kids between ages 4 and 8. The walk will be about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and will be at a slow pace.
Space is limited. Sign-up in advance here or by calling/texting Angelique Bitshilualua at 207-450-2381.
