World of Wonders Writing Workshop

Essayist and poet Aimee Nezhukumatathil often explores the natural world, including whale sharks, fireflies, eels, dragonfruit, catalpas, monsoons, humans, and so much more. Using a variety of prompts and centering activities, including read-aloud selections from Nezhukumatathil's work, participants will explore their own astonishments and curiosities related to the world around us and how we move through it. Writers of any and all backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome!

This free workshop is a collaboration between the Camden Festival of Poetry and the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance (MWPA). Aimee Nezhukumatathil will be the keynote speaker at the Camden Festival of Poetry on May 12-16, 2026.
