Program Description

Event Details

Want to learn how to plant a native garden from scratch and get your hands dirty while you're at it? The Burbank Branch and Wild Seed Project (WSP) are teaming up to offer a hands-on planting workshop!

You'll learn how to convert a lawn into garden beds using the tried-and-true sheet mulching method, apply some simple "cues to care" design principles, and practice planting a variety of native perennials. In the process, you'll help create a pollinator-friendly, Community Seed Garden at Burbank Branch and leave with the confidence and tools to embark on your own native planting.
