Event Details
This short recreational boating safety course offered by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary is designed for those who are not normally at the helm, but who may find themselves "Suddenly in Command" if the skipper becomes incapacitated or falls overboard. Participants will learn emergency basics regarding communication and vessel handling. This course is free, but registration is required.
Instructor:
John Hume is a 23-year member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary who has served in numerous operational and leadership capacities and is a former professional mariner.
