Baby Storytime is our series for babies 0-24 months and their caregivers. Reading, playing, talking, singing, and writing are the five practices that stimulate the growth of a child’s brain and make the connections that will become the foundation for reading. Baby Storytime at the Portland Public Library incorporates the elements of early literacy and shares songs, rhymes, and movement that caregivers can use with baby at home!

Preschool Storytime features more challenging stories, songs, movement, and activities to help preschool-age children continue to develop their early literacy skills! Parents and caregivers can play and sing along while learning about new books, songs, fingerplays and stories from our librarians.
