Program Description

Event Details

Looking for creative inspiration? Join fellow writers to explore ideas and stories. No registration required. All experience levels welcome.

Early Birds: join us for these generative writing sessions facilitated by Riverton branch manager and fiction writer Meghan Gilliss, who thinks that writing in the morning—before the day can clutter the mind—is really the best! Each session will include a thoughtful prompt to get us going, and some time for (optional) sharing about how our little seedlings have grown since last we met. All types of writers are welcome, but prompts may be most helpful for writers of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.

Please note that these events will be held before the library's open hours. Bring your own writing materials and covered morning beverage of choice. Enter by our lower door.

To be added to the group’s email list, please send a message with your contact information to riverton@portlib.org.
