Event Details
Medical Technology (MedTech) is a growing industry in the state of Maine and the city of Portland. However, it can also be an intimidating field to enter as a new startup. Mr. Darrell Williams, a Portland innovator who has worked with several MedTech startups to secure seed funding and has presented over 60 informational workshops, identifies key building blocks to creating a successful small business. In this workshop he will cover such topics as:
- Generating a MedTech startup business plan
- Identifying critical issues impacting growth
- Securing seed funding
- Analyzing case studies of successful startups
- Using Portland Public Library resources for research
PPL’s Business and Government Librarian will provide information on databases available on these topics and how to navigate them.
