Join us at the Teen Library on Thursday and Friday afternoons to play video games our new PS5. Games start at 2 PM both days and are available until the library closes.

We have the following videogames to choose from: 

Calling all LEGO lovers! Join us for a drop-in LEGO building session. No registration required. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join their children in play!

Join us at the Burbank branch to chat about graphic novels and make your own! We’ll have drawing materials, illustration books, and story prompts on hand. Create your own characters and comics, or doodle characters from comics you know and love!

Push your reading boundaries and hear different perspectives on both popular and lesser-known books! Each participant will join the club on equal footing. Discussions will be group-led, and library staff will be on hand to help moderate.

Baby Stories & Play is a weekly series for babies birth to 24-months and their caregivers. 

Portland Public Library is partnering with Alpha Legal Foundation, an association of paralegals hoping to further access to legal knowledge, to bring general information on legal proceedings and basic court filings to our community.&n

This is a casual, drop-in creative writing group for children in grades 3, 4, & 5. We meet for 45 minutes each Friday afternoon at the Peaks Island branch library. Journals and pencils will be provided: just bring your imagination!

Paws & Pages is a program where children can practice reading to a certified therapy dog. Readers can sign up for their one-on-one reading session with Smith the Golden Retriever and his human companion, Jane.

Join Riverton’s Tween Book Club, ideal for readers ages 9-11 who are eager to explore and discuss what’s important to them! 

Work Permit Form Assistance with Hope Acts is by appointment only at Portland Public Library every Tuesday (Mardi, Terça-feira).&n

This week we will have a special guest at Preschool Storytime! Friends from Portland Ovations will be here in advance of their community performances of Dig Up!

All are welcome to join the P.I. Book Group. Titles are chosen in advance by the members who rotate leading the discussion. Meetings are fun and mind-broadening. Contact the Peaks Island Branch Library for help in procuring these titles.

Join us for a specialty craft every second Wednesday of the month at our regular Art Table. Rotating examples include: charcoal, watercolors, miniature painting, beading, and more!

Drop in, get inspired, and make some art with friends at the library. Collage materials, paint, and drawing supplies will be provided. Participants are welcome to join us at any time during this program.
